The hosts eye on T20 series win against Lanka with a match remaining
After winning the one day series with 5 – 0 against the Islanders, the hosts continued their top class performance and won the 1st T20 match against the visitors on last night.Another strong performance from Pakistan in the 1st T20 has put them in a commanding position in the series, meanwhile,Lanka continues their losing streak with poor performance. The tourists have struggled to bat out their overs in both Odi’s and T20’s .The Pakistani pacers have been in sublime – touch in the past couple of matches and threatening Lankans. Evidently, they are not good enough for the bowling firepower that Pakistan has. As a result, one sided contests are a norm on this tour. Sri Lanka needs a win right about now.
VENUE : Sheikh Zayed stadium, Abu Dhabi
Climate : Hot & Humid
The venue for the second T20 is the same as 1st one. The pitch in Abu Dhabi is slower and in favour of spinners. As we saw both team bowlers got some good turn also pacers got their momemtum so can expect another low scoring game also today. As it is a night game, the dew will be the facctor and affect both the teams.
Average 1st Innings Score : 137 Runs
Average 2nd Innings Score : 131 Runs
Team News : Pakistan
Pakistan had a perfect game last night and they would love to repeat the same. They might go unchanged but again, the bowling line up has tremendous bench strength. Hence, it is difficult to know which bowlers would be in playing XI. If Amir is fit then he likely to replace faheem ashraf. Also Ahmed Shehzad has been given lot of opportunities still he is yet to utilise, though he struggled yesterday expecting Pakistan to give him another chance. No other changes are expected and also no injury concerns.
Team News : Sri Lanka
We can expect a lot of changes in batting order and by looking at the current team they may lose even to a small teams and they have to work hardest they can to come out of this.Their bowling was so good but due to poor batting performance they lost the game.De Silva may get an opputunity today and no injury concerns from the team.
Final playing XI will be posted on twitter @lutopatang before deadline
