Northern Knights will like to continue the winning streak against Central Districts. After losing in 1st match, Knights have not looked back in the tournament. They are in a row and continuing their winning streak and dominating all other teams in the tournament. Knights are holding 2nd place in the on going season and they have the momentum with them right now. On the other side, though Central Districts has experienced players but pressure is building upon them. They are just above Volts in table, 5th place. Knights won three out of four matches played against Districts.

Knights played 4 matches won 3 and lost 1. 12 members squad has been announced and it will be lead by Brownlie. They made once change to their squad by bringing Walker in place of Sodhi. Sodhi left for national duty to play T20 series against West Indies. Their batting will depend on the likes of Tim Seifert, Daryl Mitchell and skipper Dean Brownlie. Seifert is currently topping the season’s runs charts and the Knights will want him to score the big runs again. Skipper Brownlie is having a bad tournament and has to register yet a fifty score with bat. Walker or Randell can be replaced in place of Sodhi in this match. Nick Kelly is out of form and if he is dropped then both will get chance.

Districts played 3 matches so far won 1 and lost 2, currently standing at 5th in table. This is going to be a crucial game for Districts against Knights. They need this win so that they can gain enough confidence for up coming matches. 12 members squad has been announced and it will be lead by Young. Ryder was dropped in last match and he is available for this game. He is in good form and his team wants that from him and will expect some big innings from this New Zealand player. Cleaver, Young will be other important men for Districts at top of the batting order. Seam bowler Blair Tickner has been the most impressive bowler for Districts and he will be the key bowler. Tom Bruce will not play this match as he left for national duty.
