Australia aims at 5 – 0, whitewash,a repeat of 2013,in Ashes
It’s the fourth Ashes Test! England has ruined everything in this Ashes. They failed to face Australian pacers, failed to stop Kangaroos from hitting tons and failed to win a single test match in the on going Ashes series. With these many failures, ultimately they could not win Ashes. They don’t have anything else, except playing for pride. They got many opportunities to dominate Kangaroos but they have not utilized at least one, instead, they have fallen into a hole. On the other side, The Aussies have already reclaimed the Ashes urn after victory in Perth. The Kangaroos don’t stop this mission here itself and they want to make it 5 – 0. What was happened four years back that can repeat once again after four years if Australia dominate like this only. Melbourne will host this fourth test and it is after Christmas, on the boxing day. Melbourne is a venue that skipper Smith enjoys. Smith has now captained Australia in three Boxing day tests and in the first innings of those matches he has made for a first innings average of 491 as a Test Captain. Australia have a strong test record at the MCG having won 15 out of their last 18 matches here. England are finding it very difficult to get accustomed to the conditions in Australia and their hopes will be deflated after that innings defeat in third test match. Can England give a reply in Boxing day test and protect their pride?

Craig Overton who has impressed has been ruled out due to fractured rib and Tom Curran is likely to replace him. Curran playing chances are high rather than spinner Mason Crane. If he Curran makes his debut in a Boxing day test then he will become 2nd English player after Hegg. Their batsmen are struggling to score runs, especially Cook, the former English captain has been very poor throughout the series. Due to his failures, pressure is developing on skipper Root’s shoulders. Dawid Malan has been the most impressive batsman for England on this tour with one century and two fifties. England need to build some good partnerships and players like Moeen Ali, Vince, Woakes should play well. James Anderson, Chris Woakes and Stuart Broad will be the key with the ball.
