Team News : Australia
Leading from the front, skipper Steve Smith led his side to an impressive 10 wicket win in the first test match. Australia are going with an unchanged line up for the Adelaide test. Initially, there were fitness concerns surrounding the pace trio of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood but all three were deemed match-fit post the team’s practice session. Australia is having a strong batting line up. In the second innings 0f first test match, Cameron Bancroft proved himself and he played a destructive innings along with his partner Warner. At one stage Warner looked like he would get a century but Bancroft then started his destruction against English bowlers. Nothing to speak about skipper Steve Smith. When Australia fell in trouble in first innings Smith played a extraordinary knock with lot patience as well as good concentration. He got some good support from Marsh too. Australia’s bowling line up is also very good. Nathan Lyon claimed a match-haul of five wickets and he will be threatening here if he finds some amount of support from the pitch.
Team News : England
Moeen Ali has not recovered from the finger injury and his playing chances in Adelaide test match are doubtful. But skipper backed him in today’s press and told his presence is very important. If Moeen Ali gets rest then Mason Crane, the uncapped 20 year leggie would play his debut test. In batting, Alastair Cook is not in good form and it will depend upon Stoneman, Vince and Root. England has a good potential to restrict Australia with both bat and ball. With ball James Anderson and Stuart Broad are good pair for English. They are very dangerous if once they adopt the conditions.
Australia Probable XI
England Probable XI
Moeen Ali / Crane
Ball/ Craig Overton
Prediction : The hosts have a fantastic recent record at this ground with five wins and a draw in their last six tests. So it’s advantage Australia here and we predict them to extend their lead over England
