Team News : Adelaide Strikers
When both teams met last year Adelaide Strikers defeated Sydney Thunder. 13 members squad has been announced and it will be lead by new captain Travis Head. Adelaide Strikers lost Kane Richardson, Ben Dunk, Hodge and Ludeman this year. Jake Weatherald and Alex Carey will likely pair up as an opening pair for Strikers. Skipper Travis Head is always dangerous with explosive hitting and also a threat when he walks out to the middle. Jono Dean, Colin Ingram, Jonathan Wells and Jake Lehmann are also added to squad and one of them who is in very good form will bat at top of the order. Colin Ingram recently performed well in South Africa’s RamSlam T20 matches so his playing chances at top of the order are high. Billy Stanlake and legspinner Rashid Khan will be the ones to watch out for in this bowling attack. Peter Siddle who played for Renegades in last season will play for Adelaide Strikers in this season. He is another good bowler for Strikers.

Team News : Sydney Thunder
After winning in a thriller of the opening game, Thunder are now set for another big clash with Strikers. They have a lot of depth in their batting with Jos Buttler and Shane Watson being key figures at the top. 13 members squad has been annopunced and it will be lead by Watson. Callum Ferguson has been included in the squad after missing the opening game of the season following a late fitness test following a quad injury sustained in a practice game against the Melbourne Stars. Adelaide Strikers are always a tough team and Thunder should do something extraordinary to win this game. In bowling, McClenaghan and leg spinner Fawad Ahmed are handy with ball. In the opening game, Arjun Nair also impressed by taking couple of wickets.
